M1 - COPRA® RF Sections

Software for Open and Closed Sections

COPRA® RF Sections is the software package for every roll form designer.

It allows you to do a really professional roll form design for simple as well as most complex shapes.

It includes functions like...

  • COPRA® RF CADFinder Project- and document-archive with revision control
  • COPRA® RF Projects may be parametric or classic projects
  • Profile design with COPRA® RF entities or profile library and AutoCAD - functionality possible
  • Integrated browser for easy navigation through the stations with station distance definition
  • User defined nomination for the station types
  • Definition of station type eg. driven station, intermediate station, accessory station
  • Definition of the mechanical material properties
  • Control of the COPRA® RF Software via toolbars and/or ribbons
  • Possibility to position embossing in profile with automatic update of the complete flower
  • Positioning of whole pattern with the help of a 3D whole pattern editor. Modification of the whole pattern alternatively in 2D or 3D with automatic update of the matching part of it. Including the feature “cut across a bend”
  • Unfolding calculation inclusive all punching length of neutral line is taken into account
  • Calculation of static cross section characteristics with consideration of the user defined whole pattern. The mechanical strength properties will be expensed for the lowest cross section.
  • Strip width calculation supports multiple methods
  • Tabular, fully parametric design of the flower with COPRA® RF SpreadSheet including calculation of the theoretical spring-back, dynamic unfolding copy & paste functionality and so on
  • Definition of COPRA® RF bending sequences for automatic profile unfolding
  • Design of the flat pattern for combination tool sets
  • Interactive functions for tube unfolding
  • Rolls and profiles can be displayed three dimensional – either all or single stations
  • 3D wire model for the calculation of the longitudinal strains (“simulation of the 2nd generation”)

    H3 – COPRA® RF Flower Technology
    • Exploded view of the flower with user definable distance and various options
    • Spring back calculation according to Biswas and Oehler
    • Downhill-forming according constant point of gravity and minimal strains

What are the requirements for a successful operation of COPRA® RF ?
COPRA® RF is available for Windows operating systems and requires AutoCAD or AutoCAD Mechanical (both registered trademarks of Autodesk).
