Software for Shaped Tubes

COPRA® RF Shaped Tubes allows you to calculate calibrating passes from round tubes to special shapes.

Both, calibrating to shaped tubes as well as drawing a tube through a drawing ring, is starting from a round tube.

The pictures below show an example how the different calibrating passes of a tube mill can be generated by a computer program. The individual calibrating steps are calculated and optimized on the computer as a basis for the following roll design.

The shown example was calculated by COPRA® RF and produced on respective tube mill. The forming passes were optimized by COPRA® RF for shaped tubes.

  • COPRA® RF for shaped tubes allows for a quick and accurate design of calibration forming step.
  • Calibrating to shaped tubes is usually (but not necessarily) starting from a round tube.
  • The individual calibrating steps are calculated and optimized on the computer as a basis for the following roll design.
  • Verification of the design can be done with COPRA® FEA RF
