As more and more sections are going to be simulated with COPRA® FEA RF prior to roll making, a quick and effective roll design and adaptation is very important. Profile Measurement with COPRA® ProfileScan Desktop
Since then, the CPS has been developed continuously. Also the CPS software has been supplied with new functionality. Especially the interface with the roll form design software COPRA® RF offers a great benefit: It allows the user to generate a deviation diagram. Within a few mouse clicks it shows the deviation between the designed and the measured contour.
The COPRA® RF design data can be automatically converted to a 3D SolidWorks modell via an interface. A "real" 3D modell is transfered, which means no intelligence will be lost on the way. Changes in the COPRA® RF project will be automatically updated in the SolidWorks project. See how it's done in this video.
With COPRA® RF you can import 3D modells from other software systems. Here you see how the import of a profile with punched holes from a SAT file is done.

The control of the process reliability postulates the control of the roll forming tools. This can be done fast and easily with the COPRA® RollScanner. If the designed roll is available as CAD-drawing, then it can momentarily be compared with the actual scanned roll. The quality diagram shows the appearing deviations. Thus it is possible to determine quickly if a roll is within the required tolerance.
