data M Online support via Internet

For customers having a valid software hotline support agreement data M is offering a remote support service.
There is a way to give on-line support via the Internet. Different time zones or big distances do not really matter any more.
The only thing to do is to download a little program via the Internet. This program allows to install a connection between your computer and one here at data M.

Proceeding

Step 1:
Download a small program NV_Support_Participant.exe (Netviewer 6.3).

Step2:
Start the program. A little dialogue will show up.

Step 3:
Call your support consultant at data M . He will give you a 9 digit session number. As soon as you have entered that number your computer is connected with your consultant's computer. You can now watch him showing procedures on his machine. The mode can be changed from “watch” to “show” so that you are able to show him your procedures that may cause a problem.

Step 4:
Of course data security and your privacy will be taken care of. There is nothing your consultant will see without your permission. Before the Consultant gets access to your computer you can select the programs he should be able to use. All programs being disabled will be invisible to the consultant.

What's about telephone communication via Internet

We are using Skype services for connections between two computers. Skype is free Internet telephony that just works. Skype is for calling other people on their computers or phones. Download Skype and start calling for free all over the world.
