Material database fuelled with real test data from material vendor:
COPRA RF´s material database was further developed in the new COPRA RF 2023 version. The new version of the software gives its user access to material data obtained from tests for a wide variety of voestalpine Stahl GmbH´s materials. These materials can be assigned to design projects and later be used in COPRA FEA RF simulations, ensuring a better material modelling and results closer to reality.
Simulations with solid shell elements:
Ongoing internal research shows that solid shell elements can successfully be used to simulate roll forming processes while reducing calculation times. Therefore, data M developers have been working on increasing the number of software functionalities compatible with solid shell elements and will continue doing so.
