There is a well-known saying that goes “A tidy house, a tidy mind.”. This couldn’t be more relevant when it comes to your company’s project database.

Over time, a company’s project database can fill up with various roll forming projects. These projects are often not only handled by one engineer but by a few, who may even work from different workstations.

No matter whether you are just beginning to build up your project database or have it already filled with numerous projects, organising your roll forming projects properly and in a well-structured manner across the whole entity is crucial as it renders your company’s design processes not only significantly faster but also more efficient.

We therefore dedicate our new COPRA® Virtual Conference to CAD Finder, the project management system within COPRA®, and invite you to explore with our experts how to make the most out of it.

Did you know, for example, that engineers working at different workstations can share the project database CAD Finder, thereby effortlessly collaborating on projects and harnessing the team’s collective expertise?

Learn this and more in the 16th session of our COPRA® Virtual Conference!

TOPICS

In the upcoming session on COPRA® CAD Finder, our roll forming experts Krzysztof Szarowicz and Peter Steimer will show you how to

  • Optimally set up CAD Finder
  • Organise projects and conduct effective project search
  • Make optimal use of revisions (i.e. different design states) and the document history
  • Convert projects (from parametric to classic and vice versa)
  • Successfully import and export projects
  • Efficiently arrange a multi-user environment and collaborate in CAD Finder
  • Unhinderedly edit projects in multi-user environments by using checkout functions
  • Optimise local and server installations
  • Exchange projects between COPRA® environments (e. g. from server to local and back)

After the presentation, our team will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Join us for this Virtual Conference and discover how to use COPRA® CAD Finder in the most efficient way!

PRESENTERS

  • Dr. Ing. Krzysztof Szarowicz studied at the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice (Poland). With his thesis “Analysis of Deformations of Cold Rolled Profiles Used in Cars” he obtained his post graduate degree in sheet metal forming in 2008. Krzysztof worked at the university as research engineer before joining data M Sheet Metal Solutions GmbH in 2009. As Design Engineer, he is working on complex design projects for open, closed and welded sections. Krzysztof loves travelling around the globe giving customer support and trainings for international clients – and of course offers these services also online.

  • Peter Steimer started an apprenticeship as a qualified software development specialist at data M in 2001 and has been working for the company since. As a software developer, his focus is on database applications and data persistence, particularly the COPRA CadFinder and RLM systems, but his development work covers virtually every corner of COPRA RF. Peter likes to implement new requirements and functionality for COPRA RF, which are sometimes brought to attention during his customer support sessions. Another aspect of his work is the development of customized add-ons for COPRA RF. During his time at data M, he was also able to gain extensive insights into rollforming design work as well as data M's simulation solution COPRA FEA RF.
